“At that time: The mother of Jesus and his brethren came . . . and they said to him, “Your mother and your brethren are outside, asking for you.” And he replied, “Who are my mother and my brethren?” And looking around on those who sat about him, he said, “Here are my mother and my brethren! Whoever does the will of God is my brother, and sister, and mother.” Mark 3:31-35.

“Do something. Get moving. Be confident. Risk new things. Stick with it. Get on your knees. Then be ready for big surprises.” St. Angela Merici.

Lord Jesus, doing the will of Your Father makes us Your brother, sister or mother. We thank You for extending this relationship of family to us when we are bonded to You. Like St. Thomas Aquinas may we so be imbued in Your love that we may articulate it in our lives for our benefit of all others in our life. Amen.

"En aquel tiempo: Vino la madre de Jesús y sus hermanos . . . Y le dijeron: "Tu madre y tus hermanos están fuera, preguntando por ti". Y él respondió: «¿Quiénes son mi madre y mis hermanos?» Y mirando a los que estaban sentados a su alrededor, dijo: "¡Aquí están mi madre y mis hermanos! El que hace la voluntad de Dios es mi hermano, mi hermana y mi madre". Marcos 3:31-35.

Señor Jesús, hacer la voluntad de Tu Padre nos hace Tu hermano, hermana o madre. Te damos gracias por extendernos esta relación de familia cuando estamos unidos a Ti. Al igual que Santo Tomás de Aquino, que estemos imbuidos de Tu amor de tal manera que podamos articularlo en nuestras vidas para nuestro beneficio de todos los demás en nuestra vida. Amén.
